Spike Jonze Praises Sony’s “Balls”Back to Blog
Spike Jonze joined Cannes this year to warm welcome. While speaking to a packed house, he shared some insights into the stories he’s chosen to tell and those that he’s passed by—including his favorite ad—Sony Bravia’s, Balls.
While Fallon had approached him to direct, he couldn’t envision how it would work— “And the funny thing is, they sent me the boards, and I didn’t get it. I didn’t see it at all.”
But the end result? “That, to me, is just magic. It’s just got this mood.”
