Whitehouse Post London Welcomes Editor Scarlett Bovingdon to the Roster

Whitehouse Post London is pleased to welcome editor Scarlett Bovingdon to the roster.  “I think I knew I wanted to edit after working as a runner for an audio post house,” says Bovingdon. “I thought at the time I wanted to work in sound as I was a huge classical and film score nerd (I’d listen to soundtracks on the way to school), but I soon realized it was the perfect alignment of sound and image that I found exciting, and how you could experiment with that. Orchestral sounds and heavy sound design still hugely inspire me and inform my work now.”

An experienced editor who has been solidly working for the past decade, Scarlett got her start working as an edit assistant both in-house and as a freelancer at Soho Post Houses before joining Vice UK where she was quickly promoted twice to become Promo Editor.  From there she went onto Grey London where she worked with brands such as Helly Hansen, M&S, and Amazon, and has since built an impressive reel as a freelancer over the last two years.

Scarlett has worked with highly respected directors like Ashley Armitage, James Barnes, Mark Donne, and Jade Ang Jackman for top brands including Burberry, Nike, Pandora, Conde Nast, Unicef, and 4Creative. A versatile and stylistic editor, she developed her cinematic style and love of sound while cutting doc trailers at Vice.  This style, passion, and drive has naturally led to cutting music videos for artists Celeste, Baby Queen, MJ Cole, and Ashnikko, and opportunities to cut short films.  A recent short documentary project for The Face Magazine profiling 6 Figure Gang, a UK musical collective of six young women DJs, was awarded Vimeo Staff pick last summer.

Scarlett freelanced at Whitehouse Post a few years back and is excited to return and continue to hone her editing skills amongst the talented crew.  “I’ve always had a love & appreciation for really great ads. Smart and considered work that takes you on a journey, and this is what Whitehouse does best. They have put out so much incredible work, I’m a big fan of recent pieces including Ikea ‘Silence the critics’ Nike ‘Run It’ and Channel 4 ‘Complaints Welcome.’  I’m so excited to be working alongside all of these talented editors and begin my journey here.”

“Scarlett is a true talent,” adds Whitehouse Post Partner/ Editor Russell Icke.  “We’ve known her for several years now and have seen her continue to cut really compelling and visual work.  She’s a great addition to the roster, and we look forward to seeing what she does next.”
