James Forbes-Robertson Forges Ahead to Amsterdam

Back to Blog

James Forbes-Robertson has smelled the warm pannenkoeks wafting and followed in the bike trails of Ethan & Brian to join the Whitehouse at the Ambassadors in Amsterdam as the in-house editorial expert.

In addition to his wee babe and beautiful wife, James brings along with him a wealth of professional pals, ranging from BWIN to iD Magazine and Coca-Cola to Chivas. He is currently working on a Heineken campaign slated to release in 2014—so be sure to keep your eyes on the screens for that one.

In fact, just keep an eye on James in general. He’s a great guy, a real talent and we’re pretty pleased to call him our own. Congrats JFR!

James Forbes-Robertson of Whitehouse Post London will move to Amsterdam in October as part of the ongoing collaboration between Whitehouse and The Ambassadors.  Forbes-Robertson follows in the footsteps of editors Ethan Mitchell and Brian May, each did stints in Amsterdam beginning in 2012, both are now based at Whitehouse Post New York.  The collaboration was initially hatched to provide world-class editing drawn from a roster of US and UK editorial talent to Holland.  David Brixton, Managing Partner of Whitehouse Post, describes the ongoing collaboration as a “unique, mutually beneficial opportunity.”

Born in London, James attended Norwich Art School and Goldsmith’s University before getting his start in the industry at Lipsync Post in 2006.  James has been with Whitehouse since 2009, where he began as an assistant editor and has grown to work for a wide variety of clients including Coca-Cola, ID Magazine, BWIN and Jack Wills.  Recent collaborations include an Xbox Kinect EA Fifa spot starring Snoop Dogg for W+K Amsterdam, Chivas Regal “Here’s to Big Bear” trailer for Euro RSCG directed by Joachim Bach, and an upcoming W+K Amsterdam Heineken campaign with MJZ.  James will be on the ground in Amsterdam beginning on October 1st.
