Back to Blog

Wednesday night was the Chicago International Film Festival (CIFF) Television Awards, and we were honored with the Commitment to Excellence award along with 4 Editing HUGOs and celebrated 10 other HUGOs.

Matthew Wood’s Team GOL, Russell Icke’s Pick Up and With Dad and James Dierx’s Escape took home two Silver Editing HUGOs and two Silver Editing Plaques, respectively.

The lovely audience chose Russell Icke & Leo Burnett’s Pick Up for the Audience Choice Award, and Pick Up also picked up 2 Silver Hugos for both Editing and Direction.

Dave Cea loudly applauds the Leo Burnett team for their Gold Campaign Hugo for Hallmark’s Heart to Paper, which Dave proudly cut.

Signs also won an Adapted Silver Plaque, as well as an Online Spot Silver Plaque for Leo Burnett and Dave Cea. Meanwhile Dave’s collaboration with Onion Labs for Burger King’s Bring Them Back took home a Gold Plaque in Food.

Another Gold Plaque in Food went to Onion Labs and Carlos Lowenstein for Family Meeting, while Carlos also accepted a Certificate of Merit for his collaboration with mcgarry bowen on Sampling Station.

Meanwhile, Matthew Wood shared in a Commercial Campaign Gold Plaque with Leo Burnett for Miller High Life’s I Am Rich campaign with Yacht, Social Circle and Parlour Games. Yacht also took home a Gold Beverage Plaque.

Congrats to everyone involved and enormous thanks to everyone at CIFF for hosting such a wonderful shindig—be sure to check out our photos on Facebook—all of the photos can be found here!
